About the role
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who’s equal parts strategist, relationship-builder, and growth driver. You’ll be at the forefront of VetChat’s expansion – shaping and executing sales strategies that fuel our mission and scale our impact.

This role is based in Melbourne with flexible hybrid arrangements. Sydney may also be considered for the right candidate. We encourage regular in-office collaboration, with remote work supported.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and execute sales strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Identify and pursue high-value opportunities with key customers and strategic partners.
  • Build lasting relationships by deeply understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and customer insights to inform agile, data-driven decisions.
  • Track and optimize sales performance, identifying gaps and implementing improvements.
  • Design and deliver promotional campaigns that elevate our brand and accelerate growth.
  • Report to leadership on performance, pipeline progress, and market dynamics.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing sales team to support long-term success.
  • Champion customer feedback to continuously improve our offerings and experience.

About you

What you bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Animal Science, or a related field – or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of sales experience – veterinary industry experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in growing market share, launching new products, or scaling partnerships.
  • A portfolio of measurable achievements – we’d love to see examples in your application.
