A natural doggy treat to make at home

Here’s a simple and tasty recipe to make at home, to treat your pup. Keep in mind, treats are exactly that – a treat! Treats are not nutritionally complete, and to ensure their diet remains balanced a rough guide to follow is that treats should make up no more than 10% of what they are fed in a particular day.

Sweet Potato and Banana Wafers

Pup friendly treat – Sweet potato and banana wafers

Ingredients

  • 1 sweet potato
  • 2 bananas

How to make

  1. Preheat the oven to 70 degrees celsius
  2. Boil the potatoes (skin on)
  3. Mash the sweet potato
  4. Mash the banana
  5. Combine both in a bowl
  6. Spread thinly onto a non stick sheet
  7. Cook in an oven at 70 degrees celsius for 12 hours until crispy, low and slow is best. Alternatively, use a dehydrator.
