14yo male cat diagnosed with feline diabetes. Diabetes stable. Will methylcobalamin help?

The benefit of giving methylcobalamin to diabetic cats is largely unknown- there are no scientific studies in cats to support it.

It’s also not known how effective oral forms of B12 are as gastric acidity alters its absorption. Injection under the skin and sublingual (under the tongue) routes of B12 administration are the most effective,  so when B12 is low (such as in gut conditions) we give it by injection, not tablets.

So in summary its not known if methylcobalamin will help at all (especially in the oral formulation).
