Previous kitten had Calicivirus, how long do I need to wait before I bring in a new cat?
Feline calicivirus can persist in the environment for up to 28 days or longer at room temperature. Not all cleaners are effective against it and there are areas that are harder to clean – the carpets, objects etc
After a severe outbreak in a home, even when cleaning with an appropriate disinfectant, waiting one month before introducing a new cat is a good precaution.
