My cat has just vomited once and is sitting on the litter for a long time only passing a small amount of wee. He is yowling on and off and not interested in food. Will I be ok to wait until the morning to have him checked?

We need to get your boy to the emergency veterinary clinic ASAP for a hands-on examination and necessary treatment.

I’m very concerned that we’re dealing with a urinary tract obstruction which has caused the vomit and pain (off food, howling).

Blocked urinary tracts left untreated are life threatening in as little as 12 hours. The sooner he is treated the better the prognosis.
